Victor Frankl once said "Between stimulus and response, there is a space. In that space is our power to choose our response. In our response lies our growth and our freedom."

The power of choice is a strong one at that and it is available to us at all times. There exist no moments in life when choices are not present, though we may feel certain choices to be more difficult that others. Regardless of which choices we make that bring us into action, the primary choice lies always in the attitude we take. Negative thoughts may run wild within our heads and pessimistic attitudes may be more contagious that their positive counterparts. Nonetheless, the choice to take the first step and change ourselves from within provides the key to making the most of who we are and what we have. Even the poorest man has a smile to offer.
