Freedom Found in Identifying and Defeating Controlling Personas
A new award-winning book explores how humans have “neural masks” created by fears, anxieties, and social conditioning. To free themselves from these masks, people need to retrain their brains so they can create healthy new identities.
Ann Arbor, MI (PRWEB) May 10, 2010 -- People constantly ask themselves why the same problems keep happening to them over and over. Dr. Albert Garoli provides the answer in his new book “The Evolutionary Glitch: Rise Above the Root of Your Problems” (ISBN 9781615990177, Loving Healing Press, 2010).
The evolutionary glitch is Dr. Garoli’s term for explaining our neural networks, which over time create negative patterns in our lives that we continually repeat. We are conditioned into these negative patterns until eventually they become “normal” to us and our behavior conforms to them, often unconsciously and even when they are detrimental because they are comfortable. Ultimately, these negative patterns result in each of us developing a persona that holds us back by making wrong choices rather than allowing us to enjoy the good in life.
Dr. Garoli has identified six personas: Sanguine, Lymphatic, Nervous, Melancholic, Bilious, and Phlegmatic. “The Evolutionary Glitch” explores these different personas, allowing the reader to determine which persona best describes him or her. Identification is the first step, followed by overcoming the negative patterns associated with that persona.
At the heart of humans’ evolutionary glitch, as Dr. Garoli stated in a recent interview, is that “we [have] evolved too much. We have lost track of reality and we have created an alternative virtual world to which we attribute meaning….Our cognitive constructs have taken precedence over our touch with nature and our inner selves. This renders an inner emptiness that is sometimes so vast that some people pay to watch others live their lives on television rather than live their own fulfilling lives.” By understanding our personas, we can overcome this evolutionary glitch, helping us to regain synchronicity in our lives and a connection to nature and what is natural; we will come back into touch with reality rather than being controlled by the often fearful and limiting constructs we have created.
“The Evolutionary Glitch” is like a self-help and positive thinking book on steroids. It delves deep beyond just dealing with emotions or dysfunctional behavior to understanding the development of civilization, and tying in science by including human evolution and quantum physics. Rather than using the term “self-help,” Dr. Garoli calls his book “self-challenging.” Readers who take up the challenge will find themselves becoming “unstuck,” reversing the repetition of their old behaviors, and enjoying the full possibilities of life. As this notice goes to press, Garoli’s book has just won the Pinnacle Book Achievement Award for Best Self-Help Book (Spring 2010).

Since a very early age I have traveled the world in search of knowledge, experience and clarity that would provide me the foundation I needed to meet my personal goals in life. though many of these goals are still to be unraveled to me, my most important and biggest goal is the one of teaching people how they can better themselves. I do this through medical advice using natural medicine, through the knowledge of hindering neural mechanisms, and through frequent informative presentations in which I try to make the "mind-environment" connection better understood.
